Hail Women!
The leaves had been shed
Long before its time
Bare and bereft stood the tree
Shaken in the winter winds
Beneath it stood she shivering
She crossed her arms
Across her breasts waiting
For spring to usher in
Colors of life and sunlight long
Watching birds return home
Grey clouds parting away
Revealing a translucent blue
Smiling she stretched her arms
Heavenwards reaching out
For benefaction from life
She stood, stared and walked brave
The darkness melting hurriedly away
The waves of her desires and hopes
A glow in the sky spreading
Her touch so womanly
A mother, a wife, a friend
She the supreme being
Carrying in her inner strength
And passion undiminished
Life giving and sustaining
For every woman in her
And all over she carries the candle
Of hopes and dreams
Lighting up her life and every other path
A beacon in her wake

blizzard,
liked it,to me it seems that 'she' represents the hopes, emotions and dilemmas of all womankind, and ,thus is not just a person, but an abstraction of womanhood,

Quasimodo,
Your analysis was right on the mark...Yes that is exactly what I was trying to convey..it is more a take on womanhood than an individual...
Thank you for the nice comment! :)
