Welcome to my blogs...I concur with what you say....
The US fell back on helping its own people...katrina was the biggest calamity that happened right here in our own backyard and was mishandled so badly... The thought of it makes me see red...
Bush and his govt screwed up big time on it...The place or people haven't recovered still...people continue to live in mobile homes..and there is increase in crime too..

We can only be optimistic and hope for the best..!

Hi, I'm so sick over the whole mess, those poor people. I'm so disgusted with government.
The U.S. GOV. is trying hard to help those poor people, and they were ready right away, here in the U.S. the poor people of new orleans are still suffering, and the U.S. gov. didn,t do jack to help the poor black community for days. The fire victims from CA. last year were helped immediately, oh, they were rich, that must be why..It makes me sick.. China is a horrible place, and we here in america buy their crap, stop buying stuff from china, stay out of wal-mart.
The only peace I get out of all this corruption, is the wrath of God is apon us all, THANK YOU GOD, if possible could you hurry things up a bit, we are the most  brain dead civilization, destroy us. WE NEED MORE EARTHQUAKES, AND MONSTER VOLCANOS HURRY,HURRY
F.Y.I. did you know china owns more than half of mexico, and have a huge military population there as well..

Myanmar and China are allies and on good terms...so they will be getting a lot of aid from most asian countries slowly...once they open the doors...

In Bosnia and Sudan previously the US had helped with the humanitarian aid without their consent..also in Ivory coast..
The US should pressurise China to use its influence over the junta to get them to open up and then supply support to the Thai and Indonesian militaries to carry out relief missions..

Well! The military 'junta' govt is finally yielding to the world pressure and is planning to have a democracy up and running by 2010..They have started the referendum process already...
Funnily..in between all the cyclone disaster the army is going aound forcing people to vote on it.. its the craziest thing I have ever heard off...
.I am optimistic too that soon democracy will be instilled there and lives will be saved...

Thank you... Finally the govt has agreed to let some of the aid workers in...but its already late...people are starving and there is likelihood of a "cholera outbreak'...for the first time they have asked out aloud all the Asian countries to help...

I was annoyed and irritated with the Myanmar govt...and deeply saddened too..

Well! They don't have oil but the US is still very interested in helping them out if they will allow it.. China being their closest ally is helping currently and also gaining access to all their natural resources..Thailand is also on friendly terms with them..

As for democracy after 5 decades finally there is hope now and the 'junta' govt is saying by 2010 there will be a democracy set up..They are already taking a referendum on it ...mind you they are making people vote in between the cyclone disaster...Freaks!!
