Hi Nupur,

Thank you Nupur for reading and liking it..Nice to see you here always...

Thats true...life is like that...and for Nisha its the beginning of a new life..she was absolved of her duties...now she starts a new one by taking care of herself!

Thanks...

Sudha,

Yes I have seen that movie "thanmathram"...Mohanlal was superb in it...

In his case it was 'bipola rdisorder' or 'shizophrenia"...He had no control over his split personality and society shunned him including his own family... I remember crying from the beginning to the end of that movie :(
Mohanlal is ace!!

Dear viv,

Thank you for the appreciation... I understand what you say...people can be caught up with the fast life these days and soaring medical bills and lack of good insurance...so the elderly with such afflictions are left to fend for themselves..

The earlier place we lived in there was an old lady (retired professor) ..
for 2 days her newspapers piled up and we din't see her....somebody opened up her door to find her lying dead in her kitchen for 2 days nobody knew about it...She had hit her head on a cabinet when she fell....She din't have any children or relatives so nobody to contact even...I couldn't get over it for months...what a life...Sad..

Thanks again..haven't been able to catch up with your blogs for lack of time.. :)

Hi Ranjini,

You are right...Nancy Reagan stood by her husband all through...a debilitating disease that eats up the mind and brain...something we soo take for granted everyday...

Thanks a lot!

Hi Mel,

I can only imagine how it feels to be around a person who is physically there but mentally absent in another world which nobody understands...They become totally dependent on others..

.Nisha gave up the best part of her life to take care of her mom....though burdened with it and overwhelming she couldn't do otherwise...she is all her mom had...and sometimes for the sake of family one has to put one's life on hold...the peace of mind that brings later on in life is rewarding..I guess..

As always nice to hear from you... :)

Hi PF,
Nice to see you here...
I agree...there are more than 25 million people afflicted with this disease, all over the world...
When it does happen it is saddening ..a shell of the person is all that's left behind.  They have no control over their mind or body in the last stages , totally dependent on others...
Nisha was there for her always....and atleast in her future she can feel at peace since she did her best selflessly..

Thank you! :)
