Thanks Keshav,

I agree....its saddening to see when a person loses his only 'memories' of a life he once led!
Thanks again...

Hi Sujatha,

Missed this one earlier. Very tender and heart-breaking.
Alzheimers can be de-humanising.
Makes one want to scream and question whether there is a God.

Well written

Keshav

Socrates,

My grandmother had Alzheimers too and was in quite a state towards the end of her road...Her D-I-L did everything from cleaning her feces to the wet bed and so on...finally they hired a nurse to take care of her..She passed away eventually ..

Thanks for the comment..
Have a nice weekend..!

Thanks a lot Bhiku,

Right on....It must be hard for people to watch this and be around such people...It must feel heartbreaking sometimes to watch helplessly...

Thank you Vish,

I
am sorry to hear about your mother...I agree with what you say...there is no other way to the treatment...especially at the last stages where no medications will work or slow it down..
Thats the respect that can be shown to them in their old age after the full life they led...

I understand what you say...Its not an easy job...like Nisha it can feel overwhelming and burdensome when there is no help...Takes a lot of strength and fortitude..

Such a nice thought you leave there...Bless you for being so caring and thoughtful!

Thank you & Best wishes to you and your mom!
